Pine River Hammock Park

Junior Main Street Completes Pine River Hammock Park

Located adjacent to the DNR Charlevoix Fisheries Research Station along the grassy area next to the sidewalk on the south side of the Pine River channel (access by car easiest from Grant Street to Palmer Street), this project was completed by the Junior Main Street committee in 2020 consisting of students from Charlevoix High School as part of the Charlevoix Main Street Downtown Development Authority.

Park visitors may utilize the hammock poles by bringing their own hammocks or by checking one out at the Charlevoix Public Library.

Signage will be installed this Fall 2020 and hammocks will be available for checkout to library patrons seasonally starting this September 2020.

The Charlevoix Public Library will have 5 hammocks available from the City of Charlevoix Recreational Department for checkout to library patrons between April 1st to October 31st each year.
