The City of Charlevoix may advertise bids and requests for proposals on this portion of the web site. City staff and elected officials strive to make financially responsible decisions in awarding bids to qualified businesses and making purchases by considering many factors such as cost, quality of work, time constraints, reputation, specialization, location, etc.
Bids over $10,000 must be approved by City Council.
Please be aware that the City has Local Bidders Preference Policy in place to support local businesses when practical and within specific financial guidelines. This policy was passed on November 16, 2009 and is available online. Please click here to download the policy.
