The tree lights that keep downtown Charlevoix bright year round have charmed those who have spent time here, even if just passing through. They've also helped to improve walkability of the downtown area making for better lit walkways in the evenings. They were installed by Charlevoix Main Street DDA in November of 2016 and then expanded the tree lights onto the side streets of downtown in 2017. Overall, in lights alone, over $70,000 has been invested. As we enter into our 5th winter with the lights, it is time to start planning for their phased-in replacement as the trees have grown and the lights only had a 5 year life-span with the way they were installed.
Over the course of the next 5 years we are expecting at least $10,000 in expenses each year to replace and maintain the lights.
Here is where we need your help!
The Keep Charlevoix Bright fundraiser program seeks support from members of the general public to keep the downtown tree lights in good working order over the next 5 years. Any contribution is welcome, and all are tax-deductible.
We've created multiple options to give - something to fit into any budget. Smaller monthly contributions and larger annual contribution options are in the tabs below.
