Due to extreme cold temperatures, the City of Charlevoix is requesting your cooperation in keeping water lines functioning. The City is asking that you run a constant stream of water from an indoor faucet. It is preferred that you use a faucet that will not be inadvertently shut off, such as a bathroom that is not often used or a downstairs sink. This stream of water should be between ¼ and ½ inch-slightly larger than a pencil. This will help protect the water lines in your area. Please see the list of streets/addresses affected by this run water notice.
Your bill will be adjusted to reflect the average usage for this time of year at your address.
Please continue to constantly run this stream of water until further notice from the City.
Please feel free to call the City of Charlevoix Water Department at 231-547-3276 if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Pat Elliott
